Figurative-Painting

Figurative art is the kind of art in which recognizable subjects can be found. Examples of figurative works are landscapes, portraits and still lives. The opposite of figurative art is usually called abstract figurative. But can also be sometimes called non-figurative art.

Although figurative painting is rather a relatively simple but isolated concept on a multitude of different forms in the history of art, it is created by artists in many different interpretations. The starting point of a figure is often the only element that some figurative paintings have in common. Beyond that, there are virtually no restrictions on visual features.
